Borderway Sale of Weaned Cattle

On Wednesday 8th February, Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned cattle.

With 350 cattle forward they remained even dearer on the week once again. Bulls topped at £1620 for a Limousin from Messrs Dagg, Craighouse. Others up to £1610 from Messrs Pattinson, Bonshawside who had others up to £1510. Messrs Sloan, Stockbridgehill has Limousins to £1490 and Simmentals to £1480. Messrs Dodd, Tundergarth Mains also had quality Limousin bulls selling to £1390 at 10 months old. Bullocks and Heifers were an unbelievable trade with young Limousin bullocks selling to £1280 from Messrs Forster, Desoglin and young British Blue Bullocks up to £1240 from Messrs Gorst, Gilpin. Simmental and Beef Shorthorn Bullocks topped at £1280 from Messrs Byers, Whitehill. Limousin Heifers to £1120 from Messrs Mattinson, Burthwaite
