Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their February Beef Breeding Cattle Sale.

Topping the sale at £3300 was a Limousin heifer with a Limousin heifer calf at foot from Messrs Robinson, Prospect Farm, Waitby selling to Messrs Tarn, Step Ends Farm, Middleton in Teesdale.

Messrs Ousby, Bents Farm, Newbiggin on Lune sold Limousin cross heifer with Limousin heifer calf at foot to £3150 to Messrs Reed, The Knarr, Slaggyford.

Messrs Preece, Thornbush, Roeburndale sold a Limousin cross heifer with Limousin heifer calf at foot to £3100 to Messrs Benson, Gamswell Farm, Ulverston.

Cows with calves at foot topped at £3000 for Limousin cross second calver with British Blue bull calf at foot from Messrs Preece, Thornbush, Roeburndale selling to Messrs Reed, The Knarr, Slaggyford.

Incalf heifers topped twice at £3000 for British Blue cross in calf to the Blonde and Limousin bulls from Messrs Bradley, Penny Grange, Settle with both being purchased by Rachael Tiplady, Red House Farm, Barnard Castle.

Incalf heifers also sold to £2900 for British Blue cross with Limousin cross heifers from this home selling to £2800.

The consignment of 15 Limousin and British Blue cross incalf heifers from this home sold to average £2442.86.
