Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 22nd February, Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned cattle.

Ring 4 scores again with a great entry of 363 weanling cattle and young bulls matched with an electric trade for start to finish despite a plainer show forward on the week.  Young bulls topped at £1510 for an outstanding pair of Charolais crosses from A G Dempster, Castlehill, Tundergarth.  Limousins bulls topped at £1460 from the same home.  Hereford bulls sold to £1340 for a pen of four from A C Taylor, High House, Rottington.  Bullocks topped at £1580 for a solid Limousin cross from R & J Byers, Whitehills, Walton while British Blue bullocks topped at £1500 from the same home.  Weanling heifers sold to £1270 from G B Forster, Desoglin.  More weanling cattle are required every Wednesday at Borderway to meet growing buyer demand.
