Breeding Sheep: On Monday 27th of February, Harrison and Hetherington conducted the Dispersal of the Weekfield Dutch Texel flock from Mr Robin Slade. A total of 135 head fell under the hammer to a wonderful average of £247.89. Topping the sale was a pen of 6 which were a mixed age batch of Shearlings and two shears which went on to sell for £400 to TR & EA Milburn, Wall End Farm. A total of 23 ewes went to sell for £300 or more which saw all shearling and two shears average £301. The same home also sold a pen four to £375 to Mr DC Evans, Corwen. We would just like to place on record our thanks to Robin for allowing us to conduct the sale and wish his purchasers all the best of luck.
A good show of Ewes and lambs were forward with Mr AH Murray selling some Dorset Shearling Ewes with dorper lambs to £102 a Life, The same home also sold a singles to £90 & £85.

Store Sheep: A larger show was forward with a much-improved trade on the week. Topping the Sale was A pen of Texel Lambs from GS Bell, New Home & Messrs Thirlwell, Bothel Craggs both selling for £83. Suffolks topped at £61 from Alan Dent, Beamwham. A lot more lambs can be sold in Borderway to the vendor’s advantage.
