Borderway Sale of Weaned Cattle

On Wednesday 1^st March, Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned cattle.  As we enter March the trade for all classes of cattle stays strong.  Topping todays sale at £1460 was a Simmental bull from Messrs Cowx, Town End with another from the same home at £1440.  Topping the Limousin section at £1280 was another bull from Messrs Armstrong, Shankfield.

Topping the stirks at £1230 was a Limousin bullock from Messrs Metcalfe, High Old Shields following at £1200 for another Limousin this time from Messrs Byers, Whitehills.  Simmental sold to £1190 for a bullock from Messrs Jackson, Anfield.

Topping the heifer trade at £1290 was a British Blue from Messrs Dodd, Keepershield. Following at £1160 was a Limousin consigned by Messrs Fell, Chapel Farm.  Aberdeen Angus sold to £1160 from Messrs Thompson, Sanson Seal.  All classes of cattle are in demand, next sale at Borderway, Wednesday 8^th March.
