Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 8th March, Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned cattle. 

Bulls, bullocks and heifers up once again on the week in ring 4 with certain types reaching new heights. Bulls top at £1530 for a British Blue from Messrs Telfer, High House. Limouisn bulls sold to £1460 from Messrs Longcake who had offers at £1420 and £1350. Limousin bullocks top at £1470 from Messrs Ritchie. British Blue bullocks sell to £1180 from Seymour, Brackenslack. Her bullocks to £1180 from Messrs Williamson, Barrowmoor. The same home had Friesian bullocks at £1050. Aberdeen Angus heifers up to £1160 from Messrs Weir, High Lodore. The same home had them at £1150 and £1130. Limousin Heifers to £1290 from Messrs Hodgson of Bayle Hill. Messrs Thornton of Dyke Crost sell Limousin bullocks to £1240. Messrs Grieve sells heifers to £1300 for a British Blue and £1010 for a Charolais.
