At Wooler on Wednesday 15th March Harrison and Hetherington sold 783 prime sheep comprising of 580 Hoggs and 203 Cast Ewes.
Hoggs: All classes dearer.
Overall average 233p.
Sale was topped for Texels at £141 from A.C. Mavin & Son, Whittle to C. Snowden, J.A. Jewitt, Spennymoor.

Cast Ewes: Again, a mixed show of cast sheep witnessed in Wooler market with leaner, weathered sorts standing on in trade, whilst flesh and frame would see a rise on the week.
Sale peaked at £204 for a pen of 3 Texel ewes from R Leiper & Co, Bygate, whilst tups topped at £150 from the same good home.
