Kirkby Stephen Breeding Sheep Sale

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held the first sale of sheep with lambs at foot.

Topping the sale at £170 per life and £340 per outfit were a pen of Texel cross shearlings with Beltex x lambs at foot from Messrs Teasdale, Penrith selling to Messrs Tiplady, Barnard Castle

Two shear Texel ewes with twin Beltex lambs at foot sold for £148 per life, £444 per outfit to Messrs Foster, York.

Two shear Suffolk ewes sold for £132 per life, £264 per outfit.
