Borderway Store Cattle Sale

STORE CATTLE – On Wednesday, 22^nd March Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of Store Cattle which saw another fantastic entry of 560 head for the sale.

As has become the norm, Borderway again delivered a meteoric trade for all classes of cattle forward with returns well beyond competitors reach.

Alec Fisher, Lairdlaugh, Castle Douglas brought forward another fanatic run of cattle with one of these cracking heifers leading the day’s trading at £1980.

A dairy bred Limousin bullock from Messrs Story, Blackrigg, Longtown led the section at £1960 with beef bred ones to £1940 from Tom Faulder, Thistledown, Carlisle.

Native cattle sold to £1690 for Hereford bullocks from Messrs Haston, Swordwellrigg, Annan and dairy bullocks to £1600 for Montbelairdes from Messrs Johnston, Westray, Cockermouth
