Instant Success For Global Connection Buyers

The third edition of the online Global Connection Sale took place during UK Dairy Expo with the sale closing prior to the commencement of the heifer show.  This gave buyers the opportunity to invest in high end heifers with the potential to compete at the top end of the classes and they did this in some style.

Topping the sale at £8400 was TLC MHH Badhabits who was purchased by the 3 Guys & 1 Chick Syndicate.  Badhabits was sired by Hypnotic who is a Winndbrook son of the All American winner Starmark Horstuff Red EX94 and is a granddaughter of Rosiers Blexy Goldwyn EX97 who was the World Dairy Expo Supreme Champion in 2017.  Badhabits went on to win the Senior Yearling Class at UK Dairy Expo for Drontion, Grayridge & Oakfield and was consigned by Firstlook Holsteins and TLC.

Panda Global Magic Red sold for £5600 and was purchased by Peter & Paula Hynes from the Rep of Ireland.  This super stylish Mirand daughter is potentially the 22nd generation of exceptional Holsteins to classify in the top two grades with only the dam and grand dam currently classified Very Good.  Global Magic again proved an amazing investment with an instant win in what many have said was the UK’s best Red & White Holstein show to date when she won the Senior Calf class at UK Dairy Expo.

The Summer Calf class featured 31 awesome calves and at the top of this special class was Woodcatt Crushabull Rapture who sold for £4,200 to the Donald family from Cumbria and was consigned by the Horsley family from Cumbria.  Rapture had attracted interest from across the UK and Ireland and had been tipped to be a contender at Expo and she did not disappoint.   She won the Summer Calf class and went on to be Reserve Junior Champion for her new owners.

Selling for £5000 was ToiToi Lambda La Eva who was bought by Jamie Pottow from Wiltshire.  This classy heifer placed second in the Spring Calf class that featured 23 heifers.  She was sired by Lambda and is a granddaughter of Garay Awesome Beauty VG88 2yr who was the winning Junior 2yr old at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto in 2018.  Sister to the dam of this stylish calf is Lookout Burning It Up Red VG88 2yr who was the winning Senior 2yr at last years World Dairy Expo.

There was a strong demand for embryos with 41 embryos averaging £723 and topped at £1200 per embryo for Lambda out of T-Triple-T Play It Again EX95, the next dam was three time All American Nominee T-Triple-T Paige EX96.  This exciting package was bought by the recent Gold Cup winning herd of the Logan family from Ayrshire.
