Borderway Sale of Weaned Cattle

As the end of the financial year draws nearer, a smaller show of bulls and stirks were forward at the Wednesday sale and once again to an increased trade.   The sale began with a couple of cows and calves making £2200 and £2100.  Bulls were up massively on the week.  Simmental bulls sold to £1580 from Messrs Tallentire, High Griseburn.   Simmentals sold to £1400 from Messrs Skelton, Waterloo.  Limousin bulls topped at £1380 from Messrs Oliver, Walton Woodhead who had others at £1350.  Bullocks topped at £1380 from Messrs Wilson, Marsh House for a Limousin.  Limousin heifers on the other hand sold to £1460 from Messrs Watson, Dorryfield.
