Borderway Sale of Calves

On Wednesday 29^th March Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  Top price today was an excellent British Blue bull calf from Messrs Morley, Hadderdale which sold at £635. Limousin bull calves were up to £445 from Messrs Foster, Coombe Crag and Simmental bull calves were up to £440 from Connell Farms, Newton Stewart.  Angus bulls from Reay Farming, Park Farm, Grinsdale sold to £470.  £430 was the top price Fleckvieh again from Connells Farm.  Holstein Friesians were up to £265 from Messrs Haston, Dearhamhall.

In the heifer section Limousin were up to £455 from Messrs Fox, Windy Hill and Blues were up to £450 from Messrs Simpson, Waingate.  Messrs Blamire, Mid Whinnow sold a Belted Galloway for £410.  Messrs Elwen, Netherfield sold Aberdeen Angus heifers to £380.
