Borderway Sale of Weaned Cattle

On Wednesday 12^th April, Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned cattle.

Bull trade reaches new heights and both the bullock and heifer trade continue to exceed expectations. Limousin bulls topped at £1480 from Messrs Watson, Dorryfield. £1460 for Limousin bulls from both Messrs Graham, Hetherside and Messrs Wigham, Hargill House. Limousin Bullocks sell to £1380 from Messrs Robinson, West Cocklaw and £1360 for a Charolais bullock from Messrs Fletcher, Muirston Farm. Beef Shorthorns sell to £1470 from the same home. Heifers sell to £1360 for a pair of Limousin heifers around a year old.

A busy ringside sees even further demand with grass growing.
