Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 19^th April Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  Top price Angus bull was £605 from Messrs Wood, Groundy Croft for a thumper of a calf.  £580 was top price Blue bull for returning vendor Messrs Henderson, Park House and regular consignor Messrs Fox, Windy Hill topped the Limousin section at £495 respectively.  Messrs Booth, Mainhill topped the Simmental section at £445.  Hereford bulls were in demand and topped at £415 from Messrs Henderson, Park House and White Park bulls topped at £240 from Yeskett Farming.  Messrs Henderson, Park House sold the topped priced Holstein Friesian bull at £270.

Messrs Reed, Moss Side topped the British Blue section at £550 for an outstanding cow making heifer and Limousin heifers peaked at £310 from Messrs Martin, Boggle Hall.  £390 was the highest priced Angus from Messrs Wood, Groundy Croft.
