Borderway Sale of Weaned Cattle

On Wednesday 19^th April, Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned cattle. Ring 4 sets the fire alarms off! Bulls kicked off the day in tremendous fashion. British Blues topped at £1640 and £1600 from Messrs Robertson, Newton of Logierait, Pitlochry. Simmental bulls sold to £1440 and £1380 from Messrs Bell, Roxburgh Mill Farm. Limousin bulls sold to £1550 from Messrs Dempster, Castlehill. Bullocks and heifers were also an outstanding trade with Friesian bullocks selling to £1280 from Messrs Foster. Limousin bullocks sold to £1410 from Messrs Beattie, Woodfield. Charolais bullocks to £1170. Aberdeen Angus heifers peaked at £1260 from Messrs Tattershall, Enzieholm. Hereford heifers from Messrs Dale-Sunley sold to £1180.
