Borderway Store Cattle Sale

STORE CATTLE – Another fantastic entry of 700 Store cattle were forward this week with cattle from Newark and the Isle of Man joining a strong local contingent of vendors.

All cattle sold extremely well with prices attainable now  more of the norm than out of the ordinary.

An overall average of £1312 was achieved which included a large quantity of young dairy bred types this week.

A trio of vendors enjoyed the top spot this week all selling strong stores to the lofty heights of £2080.  First up was Brian Robinson, Gelt Hall, Brampton who sold Beef Shorthorn bullocks, he was joined by recent recruits Messrs Roper, Knowehill, Wigton who sold Saler bullocks at the same money.  Another from this area Mike Brough, Howgill, Wigton led the heifers again at this fantastic trade.
