Broughton Ewe & Lamb Sale

At Broughton Mart on Tuesday 9^th May Harrison & Hetherington held their first fortnightly sale of Ewes with lambs at foot. With a strong ringside of buyers a show of mostly hill bred ewes sold exceptionally well with trade being up £6-£10/head per life on the year. Topping at £81 per life for a pen of 4 three crop texel ewes with twin texel lambs from V & S Inman, High Ground. Four crop Greyface ewes wit twins sold to £75 per life from the same home. Three crop Herdwick ewes with lambs sold to £48 per life from M & D Hutton, Knott End. Aged correct Swaledale ewes with twins sold to £47 per life twice from V & S Inman, High Ground.
