Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 10th May Harrison & Hetherington conducted their weekly sale of calves.  Strong heifers met a pleasing trade topping at £620 from Messrs Martin, Tempest Tower for an outstanding Blue heifer.  Angus heifers were a nice trade selling to £500 again from Tempest Tower.  Limousin heifers topped at £440 from Messrs Wadsworth, Big Balcraig.  First time consignors Messrs McCornick, Barnbackle topped the Charolais Section at £355 for a month old heifer.

Messrs Martin, Tempest Tower stole the bull show today topping the Blue section at £590.  £520 was top price Angus bull calf from Messrs Wadsworth, Big Balcraig.  Messrs Wadsworth also topped the Limousin Section at £490.  Messrs Brough, Seathill had the highest priced Simmental at £250 at three weeks of age.  Black and whites met a tremendous trade with a top of £205 on three occasion from Messrs Threlkeld, Ladywells.
