Borderway Weaned Calf Sale

On Wednesday 10th May, Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned cattle.  Young cattle go through the roof as Ring 4 is packed to the rafters with bidders for grass cattle.  Bulls started the day with a strong trade with a 12 month old Aberdeen Angus bull making £1380 from I & A Burgess, Maryfield, Dumfries. Limousin bulls to £1350 from Messrs Johnston, Orton Hall.  Beef shorthorn bulls to £1300 from Messrs Cadzow, Duncrahill Farm House.   Bullocks and heifers took on an unbelievable rise with bidders galore for grass cattle.
