Kirkby Stephen Annual Breeding Cattle Sale

Harrison & Hetherington, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their annual May Sale of Beef Breeding cattle.

Topping the sale at £3200 was a Limousin Heifer with Limousin heifer calf at foot Messrs Ousby, Bents Farm, Newbiggin on Lune which sold to Messrs Messrs Makepease, Fellowship Farm, Barnard Castle.

Also selling for £3200 was a Limousin heifer with Limousin Bull calf at foot from Messrs Preece, Thornbush, Roeburndale selling to Messrs Procter, High Briggars Bank, Kendal.

Messrs Hutchinson, Bail Hill, Forest in Teesdale sold a Limousin second calved cow with Limousin Bull calf at foot to make £3150 selling to Messrs Richardson, Huttonfields, Richmond.

In-calf heifers topped at £2900 for a Limousin cross heifer from Messrs Handley, Gunnerfleet Farm, Chapel le Dale which sold to Messrs Hall, Horsleyhill Cottage, Hawick.
