Borderway Sale of Breeding Sheep

On Monday 22^nd May, Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of ewes and lambs. Another good entry of over 700 head topping at £181 per life for an exceptional pen of 10 Texel cross shearlings with Dutch Texel cross lambs from J Browell & Sons, Quarry House, Thockrington. This great consignment of 70 shearling Texels with lambs from Quarry House averaged £148 per life. Hoggs with lambs topped at £142 per life for a Texel cross hogg with a single Beltex lamb from Cochranes Nurseries, Longtown. Aged ewes with lambs topped at £122 per life twice for Texel crosses with singles both from Messrs Bennison, Leigh Croft, Lazonby.
