Spring Fling Texel Sale

Leading the trade at the annual Spring Fling sale was the Tima flock belonging to David Gray with his second lot into the ring, sired by Holtridge El Primo out of a Auldhouseburn Batman daughter. She sold to £2000 to Mr John Kelly, Co Mayo.

The next best came from Gordon Gray’s Ettrick flock, which sold to 1800gns, also sired by Holtridge El Primo this time out of the 34,000gn Claybury Dunkirk. She sold to Mr Pilkington, Wrexham.

Mr Kelly had a keen eye for the Tima pen, as he selected his second gimmer, a granddaughter of the record breaking 350,000gn Sportsmans Double Diamond. He purchased her for 1500gns.

The Milnbank pen sells the next best, with a Samsar Extreme daughter selling to the Scottish borders, a half share to the Haymount flock of Messrs Arnott and the Holylee flock of Messrs Preacher for 1400gns.

The next best goes to a daughter of the 24,000gn New View Electrifying daughter from the Knap flock of Mr Cockburn. She sold for 800gns to Mr Parke, the Glenparke Flock in Co Donegal.

The Knap flock sold another to 800gns, this time a Sportsmans Deal breaker daughter out of a 5000gn Orchilmore dam. She sold to the Padside flock, North Yorkshire.

The final gimmer to fetch 800gns was from the Ettrick pen, she comes from the noted Rainbow Warrior and Rihanna family and joins the Burryroe flock, Co Cork.
