Borderway Sale of Weaned Cattle

On Wednesday 7^th June Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned cattle.  A great show of 252 for the first week of June with Ring 4 packed with keen buyers ensured a great trade throughout.  Messrs Langcake, Sandhills Farm, sold the top priced Limousin x bull for £1390.  Mr Brian Harrison, Beck Farm, run of bulls topped at £1290 for a Charolais x.  Messrs Ivison, Cooper House Farm, sold the top priced Blue x bullock for £1240.  Messrs Johnston, Horsemoor Hill, Limousin x bullocks sold at £1130.  McNabney Bros sold 9 Holstein x bullocks for £1110.   Messrs Cleasby, Barton Church sold the top priced Blue x heifer for £1180.  Messrs Browell & Sons, Quarry House Limousin x heifers topped at £1160 and £1140.

More cattle required next week as grass continues to grow.
