Broughton Sale of Breeding Sheep

Harrison and Hetherington at Broughton Mart held its end of season sale of ewes with lambs at foot where a strong entry of 580 went under the hammer.  A show of mostly aged Herdwick ewes with lambs sold away well, however, there was more buyer resistance as a result of the recent dry spell of weather.  Topping at £57/life for Jacob cross ewes with lambs at foot from V & S Inman, High Ground, Coniston.
