Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 14^th June Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned cattle.  As the sun shines down on Borderway we saw another strong entry of 315 forward.  A plainer show of mostly dairy bred types with a lack of improving grass cattle reflected on the trade.  The sale topped at £1300 for a smart Limousin cross heifer from Messrs Teasdale, Kellah, Haltwhistle.  Store bulls topped at £1200 for a Limousin cross from J & LA Baxter, Monks Farm, Hexham.  Store bullocks were in shorter supply topping at £1100 for a Limousin cross from D Watson, Parcelstown, Sandysike.

More cattle required next week as grass continues to grow.
