Borderway Sale of Weaned Cattle

On Wednesday 5th July, Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of bulls & weaners. As we enter July we have seen a stronger trade for all classes of bulls. We have seen a nice show of 270 weaners with a similar trade on the week.

Topping the bull section today at £1190 was a Fleckvieh from Messrs Kincaid, Slacks Farm. Following that at £1130 was a British Blue bull from Messrs Dixon, Westfield Cottage. Following that at £1080 was again a Fleckvieh from Messrs Kincaid, Slacks Farm.

Topping the steers at £1190 was a Hereford bullock from Messrs Smith, Rossville. Following that at £1120 was an Aberdeen Angus from Messrs Seymour, Brackenslack. Also reaching £1100 was a British Blue from Thrimby Farms Ltd.

Topping the heifer trade and today’s trade at £1240 was an outstanding Limousin heifer from Messrs Walton, Penpeugh. Following that at £1150 was another Limousin heifer this time from Messrs Thomlinson, Park View. Reaching £1130 was again a Limousin heifer also from Messrs Thomlinson, Park View.
