Borderway Sale of Calves

On Wednesday 12^th July Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  Top price today was £630 three times from regular consignor, Messrs Martin, Tempest Tower for three strapping Blue bull calves.  Messrs Naylor made the trip to Borderway today and topped the Limousin Section at £510 four times.  Messrs Forrest, Mein Foot topped the Simmental Section at £460 and Angus bulls topped at £425 three times from Messsrs Horsley, Whitrigg Grange.  Messrs Vance, Balnab made the worthy trip to Carlisle and topped the Black and White section eight times at £295.

Messrs Martin, Tempest Tower again topping the British Blue section at £530 twice for two outstanding heifers.  Messrs McDougal, Heathfield topped with Limousins at £450 and Messrs Forrest, Meinfoot at £305 three times.  Angus heifers topped at £370 twice from Messrs Hill, Arlosh House.

Many more are required on a weekly basis to fulfil demand.
