Carlisle Beef Breeding Sale

On Wednesday 26^th July Harrison and Hetherington held their monthly Beef Breeding sale at Borderway Mart.  A great entry for July of bulls, cows and heifers with calves or in calf and bulling heifers were presented to a massive ring side of buyers ensuring all classes sold well above vendors expectations.  Messrs Watson, Dorryfield Farm Limousin bulls topped at £3400, £3200 x2 and £3000.  Messrs Cottam, Yew Tree Farm sold the top priced Blue x heifers and calves for £2800 x2.  Messrs Graham, Manor House selling the top priced Limousin x heifer and calf for £2600.  Messrs Dent, Ashfield sold the top priced Limousin x cow and calf for £2450.  Messrs Norman, Little Orton Farm, selling the top priced Limousin in calf heifers which sold for £2100 x2.  Messrs Wilson, Kirkmabreck Farm sold the top priced Limousin bulling heifers which sold for £2050 and £2000 x2.
