Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 26^th July Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  A solid entry of 300 with a  good quality show on offer which sold to a packed ringside of buyers with trade up again on the week.  Topping at £580 for a well bred 3 month old Charolais heifer from W Templeton & Son, Glenhaugh Farm.   Limousin bull calves topped at £570 from G Ireland, Morley Hill Farm.  Charolais bull calves also topped at £570 from C M Kirkpatrick, Nether Place.  British Blue bull calves topped at £555 from T W Martin, Tempest Tower while British Blue heifers topped at £560 from A & A Paul & Son, Greigsland.  Angus bull calves topped at £510 from Forster Hall & Sons, Ashview while heifers topped at £330 from D Hyslop, Meinside.  Holstein Friesian topped at £260 from D & M Irving Farming, Brunt Hill.

Many more are required on a weekly basis to fulfil demand.
