Borderway Sale of Store Sheep

On Monday 31st July Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of Store lambs in Borderway     Market.  A similar show was presented with a young show of lambs forward with a total average of £78.07 being achieved.  Topping the sale on two occasions came from B Walton, Goodlie Hill Farm, for a pen of 12 Beltex cross lambs to £96 also  Texels topped at the same price for a strong pair of lambs from John Ivinson, Lea Hill.  Suffolks topped at £87 for a pen of sweet lambs from Mr Chris Park, Burblethwaite.  Customers were requiring large numbers of store lambs so many more needed to satisfy demand.  A reminder of our new sale time of 11 am with the ballot drawn at 10.45.
