Kirkby Stephen Store Sheep

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd held their fortnightly sale of store lambs on Tuesday evening when 605 were on offer. 

Topping the sale at £105 were a pen of ten Texel cross lambs from Messrs Pedley, Yore House, Sedbergh, this same home sold another pen of fourteen Texel lambs to make £103.50.

Mr JT Capstick, Yew House, Newbiggin on Lune sold a pen of nineteen Texel cross lambs to make £101, with another pen of twenty four Texels making £94 from this home.

Messrs Bayles, Haithwaite, Barningham sold a pen od Beltex cross lambs to make £100.

A packed ringside of potential buyers from near and far were present here at Kirkby Stephen which resulted in all classes, sizes and breeds of store lambs being a fantastic trade with many buyers leaving empty handed and many more store lambs can be sold to great advantage here at Kirkby Stephen!
