Borderway Store Cattle Sale

STORE CATTLE – On Wednesday, 23^rd August 2023 Harrison and Hetherington Ltd held their weekly sale of 385 Store cattle.  All classes of cattle were dearer on the week with a more commercial type of animal on show in the main.  Leading todays trade was Messrs Robinson, Gelt Hall, Brampton who sold Beef Shorthorn bullocks to £1800 with an Angus bullock from the same home at £1760.  Messrs Moscrop, Rye Close also joined in the native party with Herefords to £1730.  Messrs Slack, Cockley Bank lead the heifers selling a fantastic shapely Limousin at £1640.  Dairy bullocks sold to £1340 for Friesians and Ayrshire from first time vendor R Lindsay, Lanark.
