Kirkby Stephen OTM & Cast Cows

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly sale of cast and OTM cattle.

Topping the sale at £1411 was a Limousin cow which weighed 680kg and made 207.5p/kg from Messrs Sedgley, Low Bank House, Barbon.

Dairy cows topped at 192.5p/kg for Friesian from Messrs Beck, Townfoot, Longdale.

All classes of cows were dearer once again with an overall sale average of 178.28p/kg and £1085.38 being achieved.
