Broughton in Furness Market held its fortnightly sale of store lambs and breeding sheep on Tuesday 5th September. Mule gimmer shearlings topped at £178 for a pen of 11 from KW & A Todd, East Mount. Breeding rams topped at £350 for a 3 shear hill cheviot from JE Atkinson, Nilothwaite Grange. Ewe lambs topped at £95 twice for Mules and Half breds from RD Holland & Co, Low Scales. Store lambs were fiercely bid for topping at £90 for Texel Crosses from A & F Jenkinson & Son, Charlesground.
