A massive show 2716 Store sheep, a season best so far in terms of numbers were subject to a trade others couldn’t get within £10 per head, to level at £81.50 per head with over 1100 mule lambs which are a mainstay for this market and met a fabulous demand throughout the sale with an average of £77.93. Messrs Faulder, Ewan Close sold a great run of Continental x lambs to lead the sale at £119, closely followed by East Mellwaters, Bowes at £118. Texels sold to £107 from Messrs Makepeace, Blackhouse, Alston with Suffolks to £98 from Messrs Hall, Nether Horsley, Hexham. Joshua Wade, Ewan Close lead the mule standing at £89 closely followed at £88 by Messrs Hall.
