Borderway Sale of Calves

On Wednesday 13^th September Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves where new and old faces flocked to the calf ring once again. Top price today went to Messrs Hornby, Laggonmore, Stranraer at £570 twice for outstanding British Blue bulls. Messrs Robinson, Burtholme topped the Limousin section at £530 respectively and Messrs Bell, Aigle Gill sold the top price Aberdeen Angus for £485. Messrs Schug, Bongate Morr topped the black and whites at £280.

Blue heifers were in demand once again topping at £500 also from Messrs Hornby, Laggonmore. Messrs Dockray, Kelsick House and Messrs Robinson, Burtholme jointly topped the Limousin section at £450 each. Messrs Forrest, Meinfoot sold the top price Simmental at £405 and Aberdeen Angus heifers peaked at £370 from Messrs Bell, Aigle Gill. Hugh demand week in week out for all classes and more required weekly.
