At Lockerbie on Tuesday 19th September, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, held the annual sale of North Country Cheviot Hill females. Once again the quality hill sheep forwards bucked the trend with all classes dearer on the year. Ewes sold to £260 from Mr WD Allan, Stouphill with the stock ewes from Sorbietrees selling too £215 for a pen of 100. 4 Crop 5yo ewes. RB Flintoft, Cocklawfoot was King of the Gimmer trade selling pens at £260, £255, £235 (x2). Ewe Lamb sold to £240 from Mr W D Allan, Stouphill.
