Lockerbie Store Cattle Sale

Lockerbie Auction Market held its weekly sale of store cattle. 200 cattle forward achieving a tremendous trade for all types with both bullocks & heifers back to spring highs.

Limousin bullocks topped at £1700 from Messrs Richardson of Purdomstone. The same home had others to £1590, £1560, £1550 and £1480. Aberdeen Angus bullocks sold to £1480 from Messrs Lockhart, Greenbank and £1470 from Messrs Jardine, Newbigging. Heifers topped at £1310 for a Limousin from Messrs Wright of Hunthills. Simmental heifers topped at £1280 for a pen of 5 from Messrs Dodd, Tundergarth Mains.

The next sale at Lockerbie is on the 10^th October which includes mainly Suckled Calves and Store Cattle.
