Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 18th October Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of bulls and weaned cattle. Ring 4 sees a rise in trade for all types of cattle.  Bulls started the day with a bang.  Simmental bulls top at £1520 from Messrs Goldsbrough, Oakrigg Farm.  Aberdeen Angus bulls topped at £1360 from Messrs Bowman, Brampton Fell who had others at £1310, £1290 and £1130.  Limousin bulls sold to £1350 from Messrs Wilson, Charlesfield.  Bullocks top at £1160 three times for an Aberdeen Angus from Messsrs Corlett, Skiddaw View.  A Limousin from Messrs Irving, Harper Hill and  a Charolais from K Wilson, Blue Gables,

Heifers topped at £1240 from Messrs Byres of Woodslee.  British Blue heifers sold to £1090 from Messrs Towers, Holme Head. A large entry is expected once again next week.
