Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 8th November, Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  Top price today goes to Messrs Irving, Brunt Hill for a British Blue bull which sold for £600 for an outstanding young calf.  Messrs Sloan, Ryemuir topped the Limousin bull section at £495 on three occasions for a very nice pen of bulls.  Messrs Hyslop, Meinside topped the Simmental section at £320 and Aberdeen Angus bulls topped at £490 twice from Messrs McKie, Wedholme Hill.  Fleckvieh bulls topped at £340 from Messrs Sherwen, Greenmoorside and Holstein Friesians topped at £225 from Messrs Morley, Hadderdale.

Heifers met a pleasing trade topping at £500 in the Blue section from Messrs Reid, Moss Side and Limousin heifers were   £470 from Connell Farm Ltd and Simmental heifers were up to £300 from Messrs Hyslop, Meinside.
