Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 13^th January Harrison & Hetherington held its weekly sale of calves which had a larger entry of 350 calves presented for sale.

Topping the sale was a British Blue bull from Messrs Little, North Greenhill, Roweltown selling to £520. Limousins sold to £430 from Messrs Fox, Windy Hill, Hethersgill for a strong bull calf. Aberdeen Angus bull claves sold to £440 from Messrs Wadsworth, Big Balcraig Farm, Newton Stewart.

Dairy bred calves were once again in serious demand with stronger runs being bid for ferociously. An outstanding pen from Messrs Morley, Hadderdale, Appleby peaked at £305, with Ayrshire bulls to £275 from Messrs Baynes, Marleycote Walls, Hhexham.
