Lazonby Sale of Store Lambs

On Thursday, 16^th November Harrison & Hetherington held their fortnightly sale of store lambs in Lazonby market. A total of 900 went under the hammer with customers delighted with the days trading. Topping the sale was a Texel lamb from Mr Jack Edgar, Fellside who sold for £114. Suffolk lambs topped at £105 for a pen of 3 from Roger Graves, Hesket Demain. Mules topped at £98 from James Bell, The Breaks and Swaledale lambs were once again in high demand with Mr Richard Moore, Softly selling a pen of 38 for £58. Other highlights were Messrs Dent, Ashfield selling 25 Mules to £92 & James Neve, Riggfoot selling 35 stylish mules to £86.50. Many more can be sold to vendor’s advantage.
