Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 22nd November, Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  British Blue bulls topped todays sale at £520 on four occasions, three times from Messrs Martin, Tempest Tower and also from Messrs Threlkeld, Ladywells.  Charolais bulls topped at £490 form Messrs Dockray, Kelsick House and a two month old suckled Limousin was up to £410 from Messrs Byerley, Birtley Shields.  Angus bulls were in high demand topping at £400 from Messrs Henderson, Park House and Stabiliser bulls were sold to £390 from Messrs Errington, Sockbridge Hall,.  Messrs Threlkeld, Ladywells topped the black and whites section at £215.

Heifers were up to £425 twice from Messrs Elwen, Netherfield with Blue heifers and Charolais heifers selling to £395 from Messrs Dockray, Kelsick.  Angus heifers were hard to cash but topped at £215 from Messrs Wood, Allerby Mill.
