On Monday 27th November Harrison and Hetherington conducted the weekly sale of store lambs in Borderway Mart.
A similar offering of lambs were forward, to one of the dearest trades witnessed this backend.
Topping the sale was a pair of Texel lambs from Messrs Maughan, Asby Mill selling for £128 per life. Beltex lambs topped at £118 from Mr Andrew Kirkbride, Flimby Hall and Mules topped at £91 from S & S Jamieson, East Nethershields. Cheviots topped at £93 from Messrs Lambert, Towhead and Suffolks to £93 from P Brocklebank, Workington. Swaledales to £60 from F Johnson, Wolf Hills.
A great show of lambs were forward with many more lambs needed to satisfy the ever growing demand for store lambs at Borderway.
