Lazonby Store Lamb Sale

On Thursday, 30^th November Harrison & Hetherington held their final store lamb sale of the season within Lazonby Market. The curtain fell with 860 lambs being present to one of the dearest trades to date. Topping the sale was a single from Mike and Marie Faulder, Ewan Close who sold to £131. The same home sold pens of 8 to £122, £120 & £118. Suffolks were a blistering trade with first time vendors Trevor and Shaun Procter, Villa Farm selling for £116. The same home also sold pens to £96. As well as topping the Mules with a pen of 18 selling to £86. Cheviots peaked at £96 for a pen of 18 from R & J Watson, Croglin Lowhall. Swaledales met a blistering trade with top price for a single lamb from Steven Brown, Bowhall selling to £74. Richard Moore, Softley sold 13 strong lambs to £68. A great day was had for all and a big thank you goes to all customers throughout the 2023 season.
