Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 6^th December, Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  A smaller show forward of just over 200 calves which sold very well to a crowded ring side of buyers and many more could have been sold topping at £550 for a British Blue bull from R & S McKie, Stoneybrook, Lees Hill.  RG & MJT Farish, East Farm, sold a two month old British Blue bull calf to £530.  AJ & JA McKie, Wedholme Hill sold a pen of 3, three month old British Blue bull calves to £525.  Limousin bull calves topped at £480 from D J Livingstone, Kirtlevale, Gretna.  Angus bull calves sold to £435 from East Farm,  Newton Arlosh.  Two months old Angus bull calves sold to £400 from Bowe Dairy Farming, Chalk Lodge.  British Blue bull heifers calves topped at £530 from S Hornby, Laggonmore, Portpartrick.  Limousin heifer calves topped at £460 from IT & EM Carlyle, Bleaberry Rigg, Longtown.  Angus heifer calves topped at £330 for a pair of 2 month old from AJ & JA McKie, Wedholme Hill.
