Borderway Store Cattle Sale

STORE CATTLE –On Wednesday 6^th December, Harrison & Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store cattle.  Another great entry of 337 head forward this week with every variety, shape and size reflected in averages, with a bullock average of £1357.81 showing a true representation.  A roan Limousin cross yearling heifer from Messrs Wigham, Hargill House, Haltwhistle stole the show selling at £1900.  Bullocks sold to £1800 for a British Blue sold by Messrs Mason, Bank Farm, Penrith.  Natives topped at £1790 for Angus bullocks from Messrs Ritchie, Middlebie Hill, Lockerbie.  Dairy bred to £1620 for Montbelairde from Messrs Magnay, Greenwrae.

Many more could have been sold to the Vendor’s advantage
