At Wooler on Wednesday 6th December Harrison and Hetherington sold 1032 prime sheep comprising of 724 Lambs and 308 Cast Ewes & Rams at the Christmas show sponsored by Northumbrian Quality Feeds
Lambs :
A smaller but quality show of show sheep forward, the judge Mr D Nicholson, Whitley Bay awarded the overall champion to W K McGowan, Craiglea for a smart turned out pen of 5 Beltex lambs bought by J T Dunn, West Farm, Ponteland realising £250 (50kg) who generously donated the proceeds to Marie Curie
is Lorna McGowan, Craiglea who was award the Championship along side D Nicholson, Nicholsons Butchers, Whitley Bay (Judge) with the 5 pens of Beltex lambs £250, (50kg)

Cast Ewes:
A good heavy well fleshed show of ewes forward met a solid trade.
Sale topped twice at £200, firstly for a pair of Texel ewes from Craig Mellor, Annstead followed by a moment of generosity from W K McGowan, Craiglea who donated the funds from a Beltex.x ewe to the worthy cause of Marie Curie, which saw the ewe also go on to achieve £200.
