On Monday 11th December Harrison and Hetherington conducted the weekly sale of store lambs in Borderway Mart. A show of 800 fell under the hammer to one of the best shows of lambs seen for some time. Topping the sale was a pen of 5 texel lambs from Messrs Cadzow, Tranent selling for a fantastic price of £138. Messrs Mounsey, Ashfield sold a smart pen of 13 Beltex lambs to £130. Suffolk lambs topped at £103 from Laura Bell, Firs Farm. Mules topped at £88.50 from Messrs Edmondson, Bully House for a pen of 18. Swaledale lambs topped at £83 from J H Richardson, Underbank. Don’t be fooled by other claims, whilst other sell prime in the store. Borderway has quickly gained a reputation for genuine sales of store lambs many more can be sold to the vendors advantage within Borderway.
