Borderway Store and Breeding Sheep Sale

On Monday 18^th December Harrison and Hetherington conducted the final weekly sale of 2023 calendar of store lambs in Borderway Mart.  Another strong entry was forward with trade more than keeping up with recent weeks.  Topping the sale were first time vendors S & K Carr, West Farm, Great Whittington who sold a pen of 9 and 4, strong Texel lambs to £116.  The same home sold pens of 10 to £110 and £93.  Suffolk lambs topped at £103 from A & J McDaid, Gilsland for a stylish pen of 5 Beltex lambs and topping at the same price from W Boyd, Dumfries for a pen of 3.   Messrs McDaid also topped the mules selling a pen full for £84. Chloe James, Midtodhills sold a tidy pen of 20 for £76.  Our next sale is on Monday 8^th, January 2024 at 11am.
